Dr Nicholas Tutticci

Professional biography

Dr Nicholas (Nick) Tutticci is a general and interventional gastroenterologist who graduated with honours from the medical school at the University of Queensland in 2003, following his completion of a Bachelor of Science. He completed his core gastroenterology training in Queensland across the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, the Townsville Hospital, and the Prince Charles Hospital. He then completed two consecutive interventional fellowships at the Royal Perth Hospital and Westmead Hospital in Sydney. To refine his technical approach, Dr Tutticci visited Japan to observe advanced endoscopic resection techniques at the National Cancer Centre in Tokyo and Kyushu University Hospital in Fukuoka.

Dr Tutticci is an internationally published researcher in endoscopy and colonic polyps, and is regularly invited to speak at state and national scientific meetings. He is highly active in medical education, teaching gastroenterology registrars within the public system and serving for six years on the Advanced Training Committee in Gastroenterology for the Royal Australian College of Physicians (RACP). He is currently the Director of Endoscopy at the QEII Jubilee Hospital and an interventional gastroenterologist at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital.
