Professional biography

Dr Tim O'Sullivan is an Australian-trained gastroenterologist and advanced interventional endoscopist who completed his medical degree at James Cook University in 2013, receiving a formal commendation for achieving the highest aggregate marks in his graduating cohort. He completed his core gastroenterology training within the Queensland healthcare system at the Mater, Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee, and Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospitals.

He subsequently undertook a specialised two-year advanced endoscopy fellowship at Westmead Hospital in Sydney, focusing heavily on advanced intraluminal tissue resection techniques. Driven by a passion for clinical research, Dr O'Sullivan completed his PhD through the University of Sydney, focusing specifically on colorectal endoscopic resection. He holds dual tertiary public appointments as a staff specialist at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital and the Surgical Treatment and Rehabilitation Service (STARS). His clinical practice combines comprehensive general gastroenterology consults with open-access procedural streams.
